What to Expect in a Session
The Practical Details
Sessions typically last 45-60 minutes. You'll remain fully clothed throughout - just wear something comfortable that allows you to relax completely. Most people lie on a treatment table, though some prefer sitting depending on what we're working with.
What Actually Happens
We begin by talking - about what brought you here, what's been happening in your body, what you're hoping to shift. This isn't just background; it's part of the session itself. Your body is already communicating through what you choose to share.
Then the hands-on work begins. What this looks like depends on which modality your body needs. Sometimes I'm working with gentle touch on specific points (CranioSacral). Sometimes using muscle testing to reveal connections (BodyTalk). Sometimes my hands rest lightly on or above your body as energy flows (Reiki). Sometimes addressing lymphatic points with sustained contact and breath (Veltheim Method).
Often, sessions flow between modalities as your body's priorities reveal themselves. I explain what's emerging as we go - what links are showing up, why they matter, what your system is working to address.
What You Might Experience
Some people feel sensations during sessions - warmth, tingling, emotions surfacing, deep relaxation, or subtle movements as tissue releases. Others feel very little in the moment and notice shifts afterward. Some fall asleep. All of it is normal. All of it is your body doing exactly what it needs to do.
Sessions can be surprisingly emotional. When the body releases what it's been holding - physical tension, yes, but also stored emotions, old trauma, patterns that no longer serve - it doesn't always ask permission first. I hold space for whatever emerges.
After the Session
Your body needs time to integrate what was addressed. Sometimes shifts are immediate - you feel lighter, clearer, pain dissolves, anxiety lifts. Sometimes the work unfolds over days or even a week as your system processes and reorganizes itself.
Both are normal. Healing doesn't follow a schedule.
You might feel tired after a session, or energized, or emotional, or hungry, or any combination. Drink water. Rest if you need to. Trust what your body is asking for.
Results and Timeframes
Every person's healing journey is unique, but here's what many clients experience:
After your first session
Many people feel lighter, more relaxed, and notice a shift in how they feel physically or emotionally. Some experience immediate relief from pain or anxiety.
Over the first few days
Your body continues to integrate what was addressed. Shifts may unfold gradually -- improved sleep, reduced tension, emotional clarity, or a sense of things “settling” into place.
With ongoing sessions
Deeper layers of healing unfold over time. Chronic conditions, long-held patterns, and deep-seated stress typically require several sessions to fully address. Most clients notice meaningful, cumulative improvement within 3-5 sessions.
Long-term wellbeing
Regular sessions build resilience and vitality. Many clients transition from addressing specific issues to proactive wellness maintenance, with sessions spaced weeks or months apart.
The Journey
Some people find relief after one session. Others need more time for layers to unwind. At the end of each session, I check in with your body about when the next session would serve you - this might be days, weeks, or months away. Your system knows its own pace.
This isn't about fixing you. It's about creating the conditions for your body to remember what it already knows - how to heal, how to flow, how to come home to itself.
